Mohamedou Ould Slahi cleared for release from Guantánamo

Mohamedou Ould Slahi has been detained in Guantánamo for 14 years and never been charged with any crime. Now the author of ‘Guantánamo Diary’ has been cleared for release by the Periodic Review Board who determined he poses no significant threat to the United States.

“We are thrilled that the PRB has cleared our client,” said Nancy Hollander, one of Slahi’s attorneys. “We will now work toward his quick release and return to the waiting arms of his loving family. This is long overdue.”

DSI Associate Tenants Linda Moreno and Nancy Hollander are part of the defence team representing Mohamedou Ould Slahi on a pro bono basis.
